We are pleased to announce that Beesley Fuels is now running our entire fleet on HVO fuel, also known as Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil. As part of the Crown Group, this makes us one of the first UK fuel suppliers to run our delivery vehicles on a 100% renewable diesel fuel.
We are passionate about doing everything we can to help reduce our environmental impact, so this move was a no brainer for us, helping to showcase the fuel’s excellent operational and environmental performance.
Moving our entire DAF fleet of HGVs, pickups, trailers and vans over to HVO fuel will save an average of 3,080 tonnes of CO2 in a 12-month period. This is the equivalent of 770 Asian elephants in weight!
We encourage all our customers to switch to the advanced renewable diesel fuel which can be used as a drop-in alternative in a wide range of industries. This includes in fleets, commercial boilers, tractors, inland waterway vessels and machinery without needing to amend existing infrastructure.
HVO is the most workable option currently available to businesses and commercial fleets to enable them to implement sustainable commitments within operations without the large investments and additional infrastructure needed for electrification.
